Here's a step-by-step guide on how to wash a lace front wig:
- Remove the wig from your head and comb through any tangles. Spray lace with our C'ya Lace Paste- Citrus Lace Cleaner to remove any glue residue.
- Fill a sink or basin with cool to lukewarm water and add a small amount of gentle wig shampoo. Mix the water and shampoo together to create suds.
- Place the wig in the water, being careful not to agitate it too much, as this can cause tangles and matting. Soak the wig for 10-15 minutes.
- Gently swirl the wig in the suds to clean it, being careful not to scrub too hard or pull on the hair.
- Rinse the wig thoroughly in cool water to remove all soap residue.
- Gently squeeze excess water from the wig, being careful not to wring it out or pull on the hair.
- Fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a small amount of wig conditioner. Swirl the wig in the water to coat it with the conditioner.
- Let the wig soak in the conditioner for 5-10 minutes, then rinse it thoroughly with cool water to remove all conditioner residue.
- Gently squeeze excess water from the wig, being careful not to wring it out or pull on the hair.
- Place the wig on a towel and gently blot it to remove excess water. Do not rub the wig, as this can cause tangles.
- Place the wig on a wig stand or mannequin head and allow it to air dry completely. Do not use a hair dryer, as heat can damage the hair and cause it to frizz.
Note: Always use wig-specific shampoo and conditioner to avoid damaging the wig fibers. It's also a good idea to use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to detangle the wig after washing it.
